So I was just out driving put my car into sport (I drive a 2010 Mazda 6 i touring, with 209,752-ish miles on it and I thought I put it back into drive I redlined about 6.1k RPM before realizing I shifted to 2nd gear wasn’t being stupid just gently accelerating (I was pulling away from a intersection, wasn’t “redlining for any longer then 1-2 seconds) if there was any damage to be done would it have been when I hit 6.1k rpm’s? Or is it just waiting to say “suck my ass” then throw a piston or something?
