Suspenders/braces colors
The last 1.5 year I regulary wore suspenders at sundays and festive or mourningful occassions. I now have 5 pairs of clip-ons, a few grey, a few black and one tan pair I got new at a thriftstore. My dark grey suits ofc were always worn with the grey ones, but the grey clipons are also worn often with light grey dress pants. I almost always try to wear them with a sports coat when going from home, but at home (and sometimes away) I wear just suspenders over a shirt, no sports coat.
I now got buttons in my suits and some light grey dress pants, so Im gonna buy dark grey suspenders. But what other color should I do? I wear khakis, light grey and royal blue slacks olive chinos and brown cordoroys regulary with sports coats or leather jackets. The colors of the sports coatz I wear most often are navy, dark brown, greenish and tan.
What colors suspenders do you think look fine with some of these colors? Which would be most versatile? I also love pink shirts, but wear white as often.
Should I do a burgundy one to color match with pink and white shirts or brown pants?
Or khaki to match with khakis for optimal versatility?
I think with a dark gray pair, a burgundy pair and a khaki pair I could cover most colors.
