I got inspiration from the original Maui Jim case that came with them 😁 It has some minor mistakes but I can live with them.
In the very end I decided to add some magnets that I had and glued them, but I definitely need to get some proper ones.

So I also was wondering what was that movie I saw as a kid many years ago.
I only remember this toilet scene in particular, just like the OP, quote:

But it wasn't really solved and it really grinds my gears that the answer posted is an incorrect one 😤
SOLVED: The movie was called "Slither" with Elizabeth Banks and Nathan Fillion.
Esta es la primera cosa que hago con cuero. Quise reemplazar el arnés que tenía mi gata porque ya estaba muy desgastado, pero no quería nada llamativo o muy colorido ya que es una gatita siamesa. Busqué en tiendas de mascotas, pero los arneses de cuero para gato eran exageradamente caros o prácticamente inexistentes.
Así que pedí unas herramientas baratas en Amazon, hilo, y le pedí a un amigo que me consiguiera un poco de cuero delgado y económico para intentar hacer esto. En total gasté aproximadamente $1100 MXN, que son casi $60 USD.
Planeo seguir haciendo más cosas; espero que mi siguiente proyecto sea una cartera, una bolsa o alguna gargantilla/collar. Eventualmente también me gustaría hacer algo para un disfraz o cosplay, aunque sé que eso requerirá invertir en mejor cuero y definitivamente mejores herramientas.
La costura la aprendí siguiendo videos de YouTube, especialmente de LittleKingGoods y Armitage Leather Ltd. De verdad me ayudaron muchísimo.
No le di acabado a los bordes del cuero porque realmente no tenía los materiales adecuados para hacerlo. Hice algunas pruebas en un pedazo pequeño usando un poco de resistol blanco mezclado con agua y colorante negro. El resultado no quedó tan mal, pero definitivamente podría ser mucho mejor haha.
Agradecería mucho cualquier consejo, recomendación de videos o cursos, así como comentarios o retroalimentación en general.
