Has anyone here had their High Voltage battery replaced under warranty?

Has anyone here had their High Voltage battery replaced under warranty?

I'm looking at some 2022 Niro EVs. Right now, there are some of these that are quite a bit cheaper than the 2023 and newer models, even for ones that are still within the 5 year/60k mile warranty. However, I must have angered the EV gods as I went to two different (non Kia) dealerships this week to look at examples and BOTH told me the same thing:

"Oh, that car is at the Kia dealer right now getting the battery replaced" I asked both times if they meant the 12 volt battery and they said "No, the BIG battery"

I'm annoyed for a few reasons now. The first is that these dealers will keep the postings online for however long it takes to fix these cars, and other people will call to look at them so I'll be competing with others for a good deal. The other thing is... I thought these were supposed to be extremely reliable batteries? (Hell, there's one with almost 300k on YouTube with no issues) Have I just had some insane luck to find 2 with issues?

This also has me worried about the quality of the replacement. Does Kia still make factory new battery packs for these cars, or are they using remanufactured/refurbished battery packs? Does anyone know of one of these first-gen Niro EVs that had a battery replacement within the past year or two?

Does Kia provide any documentation or info on the condition of the battery that they put in the car?

Should I be spooked, or try to jump on the opportunity to get one with a new battery?
