I come from pcb background and I am genuinely interested in biotechnology but as soon as I ask about biotech or write anything about biotech I get ignored as if people hate it 😭

And on what basis can a person take minor is it merit based or anyone who applies and pay can get it ?? Will I have to maintain a certain cgpa to get it?? When does it start and how to apply??

I want help regarding college selection
My qualifications I am a pcb student (dropper) but I want study biotechnology and go into bioinformatics in the future what would be better btech biotechnology at thapar or btech biotech with specialisation in bioinformatics in jaypee or bsc biotechnology SNU or any other college ??? I don’t have jee percentile I want admission on the basis of 10+2
Any senior who is already doing this what will be your advice??
