Btech CSE in Alliance

Monday ko my admision was done in Alliance for Btech CSE but ma'am my chest is so heavy I can't explain.

Tuition fees

4L/year

4 years ka 16L

Pg

1,45,000/year

4 years ka 5.8L

Total for 4 years 21.8L

Too far from home

It's 2200km from home.

Clg is far from city, doesn't have city vibe.

But my mom was like if we had spent so much to reach we should take the admission.

The University has bad placements reports and my parents are spending so much, believing in me, but trust me, I don't have belief even in myself.

They're so tensed, taking loans and all for me. And i feel like I'm back stabbing them.

Im crying and typing this idk how will I survive 4 years there and also justify the fees and my parent's efforts.

My parents are not that educated.

I have to manage everything about admission procedure and all, they just make the payments and everything and they trust in me.

CS VS Cyber Security VS ECE (dayanand sagar university)

please help me out. i can get any one (cs, cyber security and ece) in dayanand sagar university for my rank in kcet but i am confused about my branch i will elaborate

ECE : have intrest also i scored 100 in PU in electronics but in dayanad sagar UNIVERSITY i feel not a good option

Core CS : not a bad option but i heard from a well known person that 'the actual coding thought in colleges is replaced by AI proming so better choose cyber security so u will get deep knowledge'

CS (Cyber Security) : again not a bad opion but risky cause i wont get the liberty as i get in core cs and cant switch into the booming industry

any senior from DSU, working as engineer, batchmates, share ur advice/opinion matters a lot.....

No ICCR. No COMPEX. Still Want India? Here’s an Alternative. 🇮🇳

For Nepali students planning to study Engineering, IT, CS, or related fields in India:

COMPEX is unlikely to open for this year, while ICCR has already closed. But there are still some available seats in private universities offering merit-based scholarships and fee concessions.

I have access to some of these opportunities and can help interested students get admission at an effective/discounted rate, depending on their academic profile and the available seats.

If you're interested, DM me or drop your Reddit ID/contact below, and I'll get back to you with the available options.

I'll provide details about the university, course, scholarship/fee structure, and eligibility before you make any decision.

T4 engineering college vs 2-year diploma + DSE vs drop — what would you choose?

I’m currently stuck between 3 options and would really appreciate some honest advice, especially from people who have actually gone through these routes.

My situation:

MHT-CET: 87.88 percentile

12th HSC: 67.33%

I’m from Maharashtra, but my domicile certificate wasn’t ready in time, so I couldn’t get a college through the normal merit/CAP process.

Some of my friends are taking whatever T4 engineering college they can get, while others are considering doing a 2-year diploma after 12th and then taking DSE (Direct Second Year Engineering).

I’m also considering taking a drop year and trying CET/JEE again.

The main options I see are:

  1. Join a T4 engineering college now

  2. Do a 2-year diploma → DSE

I’m confused about how realistic this actually is. How difficult is it to score the kind of diploma percentage required for good DSE colleges? Is getting 90%+ in diploma significantly harder than getting 90% in HSC/CET? And do DSE students actually get into good colleges like SPIT, VJTI, etc., or is that mostly theoretical?

  1. Take a drop

What would you choose in my situation?

Especially interested in opinions from people who have done diploma → DSE, taken a drop, or studied in a lower-tier engineering college. What are the actual pros/cons after graduation, and which route gives the best chance of ending up in a good engineering college and career?

I’m trying to make a decision based on the long-term outcome rather than just avoiding a “wasted year.” Any honest advice is appreciated.

Is the 4-year PW GATE foundation batch (₹30k–₹32k) worth buying in 1st year, or better to wait till 2nd/3rd year?

Hey seniors,

A friend of mine entering 1st year B.Tech is planning to buy the Physics Wallah (PW) 4-year GATE batch (around ₹30k–₹32k) starting this August, and she is suggesting I join too.

Want honest feedback from folks who took long-term online coaching:

Burnout & College Routine: How feasible is managing 9-to-5 college + lab files alongside heavy live GATE batches in the 1st year?

Syllabus Overlap: Since 1st year is common engineering (Maths, Mechanics, Basic Electrical, Physics/Chem), do people end up creating massive backlogs on the GATE portal?

Cost vs. Benefit: Does it make more sense to focus on college GPA, C/C++ programming, and Engineering Maths in 1st year, and pick up a targeted 1 or 2-year batch (like Parakram/Shreshth) in 2nd or 3rd year for ~₹10k–₹14k instead?

Any Possibility for late admission in Btech colleges at Pune? HELP!!!

I’m in a bit of a complicated situation and would really appreciate advice from anyone who has dealt with something similar.

I’m trying to get admission into a B.Tech/B.E. college in Maharashtra for 2026–27.

My situation:

I completed Class 12 through CBSE but had a Mathematics issue/compartment.

I’m currently appearing for NIOS ODE Mathematics to obtain the required qualification.

My NIOS Mathematics exam is in September, and I’m expecting the NIOS result around October.

Because of this, I may not be able to participate in the normal CAP admission process.

I’m therefore looking at private engineering colleges, institute-level/vacant seats, or management quota, particularly in lower-demand branches such as Instrumentation, Mechanical, etc.

I just need a legitimate B.Tech admission somewhere in Maharashtra (Pune).

My main question is:

Has anyone here personally got admission into a B.Tech/B.E. college in October or November after their Class 12/NIOS result came out late? Or any other delay in admission process caused it ?

If yes:

Which college/university was it?

What branch?

Was it through management/institute-level/vacant seat?

What was the approximate date you joined?

Did the college accept the result after the normal admission deadline?

Were there any issues with eligibility, university registration, or documents later?

I’ve heard of people getting late admissions in private colleges, but I’m trying to find actual experiences rather than rumours.

Any Maharashtra-specific experience would be extremely helpful. 🙏

Ayoo Guys HELP!!!.

Karnavati university review

I have 2 options currently, karnavati and parul(baroda) for btech cse. As both are tier 3 private.

Pros for karnavati:

Near house so don't have to pay extra for hostel

A known person got 20lpa but abroad

Pros for parul:

Known college for years

Placement is avg but data is available

Promotes other activities more like hackathon and startup etc

Cons for karnavati:

Only 1 batch has been placed so not much placement data available.

Don't know anyone who is in karnavati so cannot know about the infrastructure and course strictness.

Cons for parul:

Low reputation. People often keep it as the last option

Invests too much in advertising, I fear if the study is good aswell.

B.Tech or BCA after Diploma — Direct Admission?

I’m planning to do a Diploma in Computer Science/Computer Engineering and then continue with higher studies.

I have a few questions:

- Can I get direct admission into B.Tech 2nd year (lateral entry) after completing my diploma?

- Is JELET compulsory, or can private colleges provide direct admission?

- What minimum percentage should I target in my diploma?

- Can I also get direct admission into BCA 2nd year after a Computer Science diploma?

- Which would be better after a diploma: B.Tech CSE or BCA?

- If anyone has experience with JIS/JIS Group in West Bengal, please share how the admission process actually works.

Would appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through this route.

Indian Enginnering Colleges Tier

I have created a comprehensive list of Indian enginnering colleges by Tier . Colleges within same tier are not ranked. Suggestions are welcome. I have avoided giving tradition Tier 1/2 etc as that leads to confusion . Covered only most popular colleges known across country. Ranking is based on Cutoff, Placement, Industry perception and overall Infra. Please remember its for college overall not for a specific branch so better branch in a lower tier may be better .

Can I get into any engeneering college in late August or early September

"Hi everyone, I am in urgent need of advice regarding engineering admissions. I scored 68% in my board exams and 44 percentile in JEE Mains. After deciding against a drop year, I am now trying to secure an engineering seat as soon as possible. Could anyone please guide me on which colleges or open counseling rounds are still accepting admissions at this stage? I would be genuinely grateful for any help or recommendations."

My parents don't trust me now and aren't allowing me to go to bangalore for btech. I need help understanding is it really the best option?

I had 40k rank in comedk. 957 in barch. And cuet also I had decent marks. Now the main problem in front of me is that I really wanna join bangalore colleges but my parents are just not ready to send me there because the trust issues I created in past 2 years. I bunked, lied, smoked and did a lot more but I genuinely wanna study this time cuz I have interest in coding. I'm not saying I won't do anything for fun but I will keep in mind that I don't spoil my score. Now the problems my parents have are

  1. I will start smoking and drinking.

  2. I am hot tempered so I'll get into fights

  3. I won't respond yo their calls and texts

  4. I won't study and waste 4 years

How can I convince them

Additional thing I am in a relationship which my parents know about and she was the one who pushed me to do this study part after I strted getting spoiled in 11th class she is also joining dsce bangalore and now I really really wanna be with her

Options my parents are giving me are as follow pls tell me what u guys think is the best

  1. JUET Guna

  2. Bangalore colleges

  3. Davv Indore mtech integrated

  4. Manit bplanning and barch
