So I'm in the counselling process of state entrance exams. And I got SRM all courses in Chennai. And I got manipal BLR and udupi as well. Both Nationally recognised colleges.
My family can't afford manipal. And when I didn't get BITS Pilani they shouted at me... What's the point... Bits is more expensive than manipal. And I'm general/open category so my jee score was less for it.
Now I'm stuck with state level colleges that are apparently top 10 in the state YET people who lived in my state don't even know that college. And I'm watching my friends go to nationally recognised state colleges and I feel so bad. It's painful.
And on top of that recent placement data of that college is showing no placements even for a good course for ece and I can't do anything to change the fact that I have a seat that I can't cancel there (prefer to keep the name of the college private)
I feel HORRIBLE. we can afford SRM Vadapalani if I take a 6 sharing or 4 sharing hostel with ece course or something similar but my dad thinks me doing engineering itself is wrong. Despite all his consistent efforts to put me in bba I never ever relented and I stuck onto my dream of being able to build.
The worst part is... The only time my parents listen to me is when it's a fight. Otherwise I have to beg for their time and compete with the tv or their phone or laptop for 5 damn minutes
Engineers.. please be kind enough to comment what you think. I'm genuinely hurt seeing my peers and no placements for the students here .😭

I can't even do this anymore. So many clgs post their placements r good and when u go there you end up finding out the reality which is not so good.
Atp all colleges after rvce, bmsce, pes rr, pes ecity, dsce seem there SAME. placement is there means only for cse. Even that too only 5lpa. Placement is good means the college infrastructure is HORRIBLE.
