T4 engineering college vs 2-year diploma + DSE vs drop — what would you choose?

I’m currently stuck between 3 options and would really appreciate some honest advice, especially from people who have actually gone through these routes.

My situation:

MHT-CET: 87.88 percentile

12th HSC: 67.33%

I’m from Maharashtra, but my domicile certificate wasn’t ready in time, so I couldn’t get a college through the normal merit/CAP process.

Some of my friends are taking whatever T4 engineering college they can get, while others are considering doing a 2-year diploma after 12th and then taking DSE (Direct Second Year Engineering).

I’m also considering taking a drop year and trying CET/JEE again.

The main options I see are:

  1. Join a T4 engineering college now

  2. Do a 2-year diploma → DSE

I’m confused about how realistic this actually is. How difficult is it to score the kind of diploma percentage required for good DSE colleges? Is getting 90%+ in diploma significantly harder than getting 90% in HSC/CET? And do DSE students actually get into good colleges like SPIT, VJTI, etc., or is that mostly theoretical?

  1. Take a drop

What would you choose in my situation?

Especially interested in opinions from people who have done diploma → DSE, taken a drop, or studied in a lower-tier engineering college. What are the actual pros/cons after graduation, and which route gives the best chance of ending up in a good engineering college and career?

I’m trying to make a decision based on the long-term outcome rather than just avoiding a “wasted year.” Any honest advice is appreciated.

They Changed my application from Type A to OMS.

I tried so hard but even after doing my domicile is not ready yet, My parents only earned and lived here nothing else did for themselves nor for me in document) ye nahi wo nahi kuch nahi hai. In the last i verified my form as an OMS candidate even after living here for 18 years. Will they alot any college in cap round or should I take a drop I doesn't want to take loan and get a T3 clg through management quota. But will be happy If I get any college at regular fees.

Looking for people to play football ⚽

looking to meet some new people through sports. Football is my main sport, but honestly I'm up for almost anything outdoors.

Football

volleyball

Any other team sport(expect Cricket)

If you already have a group and need an extra player, I'd be happy to join. If you don't have a group, we can gather a few people from here and organize something ourselves.

Skill level doesn't really matter. I'm mainly looking to stay active, have fun, and meet new people.

Comment below or DM me if you're interested. ⚽🤝

Age: 17-18-19(honestly doesn't matter that much)

Location:- Kapurbawdi

Dhokali

My father is offering me a four wheeler (thela)- should I take it ?

So, I’m 18, from a General category, lower-middle-class family. I got 67% in 12th science and 85/200 in MHT-CET. My academic performance wasn't great—honestly, I’ve been struggling to stay focused and have mostly just been studying for the sake of passing.

The issue is that my parents’ entire motivation for my education is based on my 10th-grade results, where I scored 88%. They still hold onto that version of me, and because my 12th-grade scores dropped, they feel my path to engineering is a dead end.

My father is physically struggling to work and our savings are thin. Because of this, my parents are pushing me to take up immediate, low-skill jobs—like driving, delivery, or setting up a food stall (my dad literally offered to get me a "thela" setup). They don’t see the value in me pursuing a B.Tech at a "tier-69" college, and honestly, given our financial state, I struggle to justify the ROI myself.

I want to support my family, but I’m terrified that if I stop now, I’ll never be able to get back on track for a career. I am closing my door for a better future, don't want to be stuck in dead end job forever.

Got my HSC rechecking photocopy and honestly I feel hum log hi delusional the 💀

People are saying “this year checking became strict” but after seeing my paper I realized they were ALWAYS checking like this.

You only get step marks if the final answer is correct. Agar last answer galat hai toh even proper method pe bhi marks kaat diye.

In one question I literally wrote the full process and still got less marks because final answer wasn’t matching exactly. And sometimes even correct answer pe full marks nahi diye because “some steps missing”.

We all thought HSC checking would be like 10th boards where decent steps = decent marks 😭 but nope.

I’ve attached some images from my paper. Can you guys genuinely check and tell me if I can get marks through revaluation/rechecking or am I just coping atp ?
