Is the 4-year PW GATE foundation batch (₹30k–₹32k) worth buying in 1st year, or better to wait till 2nd/3rd year?

A friend of mine entering 1st year B.Tech is planning to buy the Physics Wallah (PW) 4-year GATE batch (around ₹30k–₹32k) starting this August, and she is suggesting I join too.

Burnout & College Routine: How feasible is managing 9-to-5 college + lab files alongside heavy live GATE batches in the 1st year?
Syllabus Overlap: Since 1st year is common engineering (Maths, Mechanics, Basic Electrical, Physics/Chem), do people end up creating massive backlogs on the GATE portal?
Cost vs. Benefit: Does it make more sense to focus on college GPA, C/C++ programming, and Engineering Maths in 1st year, and pick up a targeted 1 or 2-year batch (like Parakram/Shreshth) in 2nd or 3rd year for ~₹10k–₹14k instead?
