I’m not trying to say all older shoppers are like this, but I’ve noticed that a BIG chunk of them are.
They act like they are so superior to everyone else and deserve better treatment than the average shopper, for what reason? I truly don’t know.

From demanding for discounts that don’t exist, to giving you glares and nasty looks for trying to get past them when they’re blocking aisles. What? do you own this fucking aisle? How much am I inconveniencing you by politely saying “excuse me” and walking past you. Do you REALLY have to block the entire aisle instead of just having some common fucking courtesy and moving to the side so that maybe other customers or employees trying to get by can do so?

And what makes them think it’s okay to just throw their carts wherever? They’ll just leave em right in-front of entrances, in the road, in parking spots, wherever they feel like.

And why are so many of them so snappy for no apparent reason whatsoever, the slightest inconvenience ever will set them off and have them yelling at you, even if it isn’t your fault whatsoever. It seems like they’re sadists who enjoy berating minimum wage workers.

He may have been the most obnoxious old person I’ve ever had the displeasure of bagging for. First he starts off by making fun of a disabled man in a mobility scooter for accidentally hitting a door, then he keeps going on and on with the same joke about him not wanting to pay for his groceries. Ahaha very funny, especially after you’ve said it like 10 times already.

After I finished bagging his groceries he asks me “Can I give you something?” And hands me a dirty piece of trash, laughs in my face, then waddles away without giving me thanks once. He was probably less than 8 steps away from a trash can that was clearly visible…

I know it’s a pretty small, insignificant interaction. But it just pissed me off so much.
