TLDR:
Few questions,
1- it it possible to replace windows for a huawei as a main device ? For office work ?
2- if not, are huawei devices capable of being jailbroken or rooted to download either Windows or Linux ?
3- any extra comments ? Thank you.
Original background story:
In the past 2 years I was searching for a strong small portable windows device that has a great battery (8hrs+) without selling my kidneys (Couldnt find any)
Mainly for microsoft office use, and browsing and do things on a browser (Some online excel sheets, or some systems that are mainly on a web browser for my work)
However, there is always something wrong with the devices,
Here is my summary of the search;
- Surface pro, good battery, works well, however expensive and big (13i)
- GPD products (expensive as well) (GPD P4 is excellent but waaaayyyy expensive especially after the RAM thingy)
- other devices either have low batteries, or low performance, nothing has it all..
- Apple devices for some reason are blocked by work for the private network, and wont open it, though the iPad is a good option.
After a long search, now I see the Huawei tablets,
Like the 11.5S with the magic keyboard,
And Mini (8.8i)
And I read the specs and I'm shocked by how well they are for the price given,
And I'm extremely tempted to buy one instead of a surface pro or any other device that might put me into dialysis lol.
So I want to know if anyone has tried those devices as a main device,
And if the Harmony OS can give a desktop task work,
And if not, is it possible to download Windows or Linux on such devices.
