I feel like a lot of MVs lean into this dark fantasy, dying kingdom, everyone out for blood theme and its actually making me feel depressed.

I picked up Rabi-Ribi (genuinely a fantastic MV) years ago and it was surprisingly the complete opposite of that. Vibrant setting that's very Kirby-esque and all the conflicts are done out of misunderstandings or unnatural brainwashing phenomena rather than malicious intent. Everyone becomes friends after a good smackdown.
This one particular quote stuck with me, I've never met a shopkeeper before that said they'd willing give out their entire stock for free. The only reason this doesn't go through is because Erina thinks taking things for free is wrong.

Share some moments in Metroidvanias that are happy and upbeat or where there's a glimmer of hope. Stuff like Hollow Knight's Myla and Sherma, Ori having a family and being the light in the darkness, Dust's and Tevi's funny banter, Catmaze's true ending, etc.

For Rabi-Ribi, a skin that replaces the main characters with Neptune (and Noire, Blanc, and Vert) and Histoire, two NPCs with IF and Compa, and the alt character with MAGES..

This is actually how I discovered the wonderful series that is Neptunia. Happy birthday, Nep!

God I enjoy the writing throughout the series and Plutia is cute, but Re;Birth3 did so dirty to making Neptune at her WORST and hurt poor Nepgear so much. But I don't think it's entirely unsalvageable with how competently written the antagonists are.

How would you fix the writing in Victory / Re;Birth3?

Getting way too many duplicates that don't do anything for me. I don't need more than 2 copies of the Warframe (Helminth) or more than one copy of the weapon.

Not just Sirius & Orion, but also every other pity currency farm (Voruna, Citrine, Dante, Jade, Koumei, Temple, Oraxia, Nokko, Uriel, and Follie).
