Let’s see your over-unders and side-by-sides!

This is my Hatfield Field 12. Barrel is 28 inches, weighs 7.5 pounds, and came with 5 chokes for $550. Turkish made. Wanted to get into clays without breaking the bank and this does the job.

Took off the wooden grips and put on Pachmayrs. I saw someone comment that you should put grease under them. Is that real? What kind of grease? Under the front strap too or just the sides?

The wooden grips had huge palm swells I didn’t like. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the front checkering and wanted more grip. I think these solve both problems.

Equipment:
Smith & Wesson 1911 Pro Series 9mm
Pachmayr standard grips

Pachmayrs Part 2!

Took off the wooden grips and put on Pachmayrs. I saw someone comment that you should put grease under them. Is that real? What kind of grease? Under the front strap too or just the sides?

UPDATE :: I put a thin layer of Lubriplate 130-A (what I use on my M1A) on the inside of the grips, including the front strap.

Hi gang,

I’m thinking about getting some Pachmayrs. There are 3 variations on their website: what they call signature, diamond, and ALS.

My S&W Pro Series has palm swells and I prefer a thinner grip. I’m looking for peoples opinions on these 3 offerings. Can anyone say/show how thick they are?

Thanks!
