I'm 6'1" and using 41" bands for overhead press. As I move up in band thickness, I'm finding it a bit dangerous feeling. I stand on the bands and use a bar, but with thick bands it feels like if my hands slipped that thing is going to rocket to the ground. I have a footplate and a cork block to protect my feet that I use sometimes. I've tried doing it seated. But I'd rather find an alternative that feels more stable and less like a recipe for disaster. Any ideas?
