Cyberplate - first run through 👌🏼
Even though I had a twist in the band, that’s the nicest feeling Bar,band & plate Chest press I’ve ever done - can’t wait for my Q deck stainless steel roller to see how the two compare 👌🏼

Awesome arm pump this morning. Left off legs cause I really crushed them yesterday.
I m planning to get decathlon resistance band trio (15kg, 25kg, 35kg) to do home workout. I m a beginner female who can do shoulder press with 7 kg. Since i m not a budget that i cant pay for gym every month. I was thinking buying a good quality resistance band which last longer would be a better option ..also i can carry them whereever i want. I workout 3 times a week. I just do rdl, squates, bent rows and overhead shoulder presses. My goal is to have good muscle mass for good metabolism and joint health..( i got insulin resistance)..my goal isn't about appearance.
So will this long? Will it be a good investment ?
Does anyone know of a good YouTube video for leg strengthening with small dumbbells or resistance bands towards splits?
So, the biggest problem I have with bands is that there’s so little resistance at the beginning of a movement.
I remember when I was younger the idea of “sevens”, where you would do seven partial reps at the beginning, middle, and end ranges of a movement. As I recall, it was meant to make sure that momentum didn’t help the next part of the movement.
Anyway, I’m wondering if something similar to that might help with getting similar resistance throughout a movement. Like finish your set and then take a step back and do beginning of the movement so there’s more resistance.
Has anyone ever tried this? Any success?
Hey,
I’m currently looking for a good set of resistance bands that I can actually buy in the EU/Germany.
It doesn’t have to be a complete training system, but it’s a bit frustrating that brands like Harambe, X3, or Geku aren’t really easy to get here without dealing with expensive shipping or import fees.
I already found HeavyDutyBar through this sub, which looks really solid, but even their bands are pretty expensive, especially since I’m a complete beginner and don’t even know yet what I’ll end up preferring.
Do you have any recommendations for high-quality resistance bands that are available in Europe/Germany?
I’m happy to spend a bit more for something that lasts, but I also don’t want to overspend before I even know if band training is for me.
Thank you for your help :)
I also have a question at the end.
So my relationship with working out has always been troubled by time. Or the lack thereof.
Of course i had great gains when i was able to go regularly, but with my current position in life and my priorities, i just can't sacrifice 2 hours 2-3 times a week to go there.
So when i saw resistance bands on sale for 5€ i thought, fuck yea why not.
Now I've noticed it takes a lot longer until i feel the "hit" of the exercise, but at the same time, time is not as much of a problem anymore. Because those 2 hours I've gained, i can now use for (something i actually enjoy) gaming, or being on the PC in general.
It is that important to me, it has been my main hobby since the dawn of my days.
And since i have a standing desk i can keep on working out while watching something or during downtimes while gaming.
And it has been so much fun, just doing the exercises while talking, or while looking at the grey screen when playing lol (and trust me i am bad enough, so there are enough down times) and it feels may more rewarding than just standing/sitting idle.
And of course the intensity isn't that high at a time, but after a few hours of on and off training i also feel the exhaust in my muscles.
But this is where my question comes in:
Do you think this is actually a way to go?
My goal isn't a gym-buddy-body, but i want some tone back.
Meanwhile i am also regulating my diet, so i already got that going for me, but i am worried, whether resistance bands are more of a gimmick, rather than a full on method.
A few months ago was only able to hit Heavy Green for 2-4 reps. Working on getting to 12 reps with this current combination for top sets. Currently unable to do these without a belt and sleeves help without a doubt.
Does anyone know where I can get a very strong resistance band especially for biceps curls ..the one I got from Reebok snapped after a month.
Hello all,
I have never done resistance band strength training. However I am fairly active and strength train about 5/6 times a week in the upper limits weight wise of what I have seen advertised in terms of band resistance. I am moving soon and directly after that have a sustained period of travel, so I have been thinking about getting a resistance band kit, primarily for maintenance before I can get back into the gym but also just something for travel long term. I practice a PPL split, and ideally would continue to follow it.
Looking for some basic purchasing advice, I am not flush with cash so something in the budget range would be ideal, U.S. based, agian would ideally be able to mimic a similar weight / resistance as I am typically lifting, and would like to be able to do as many exercises as possible, so an all inclusive kit (door setup piece?) would be ideal.
Any advice is welcome!
I play padel tennis regularly so my main goal is to keep fit for sports, I work out 3-4 times a week, my question is how many exercises should I do per muscle group? Atm:
Monday: 2 x chest + 2 x biceps
Tuesday: 2x back + 2x triceps
Wednesday: 3x shoulders
Thursday: leg day
I want a little waist and to prevent falls when I turn 70. I am a total beginner. Female
Hi,
I've been dealing with a number of chronic muscular skeletal injuries over a number of years now and have been gravitating between thinking of starting a more rigid program to be more functionally fit.
My goal is to be flexible, overcome my chronic injuries, strong, and if I could think of an end game to my body physique, then would be happy with a beach fit physique.
I know I need to fix a number of imbalances, flexibility issues, and gain strength.
I'm also quite tall, and find I'm quite inflexible throughout my lower body which is underdeveloped. My chronic injuries are all upper body from neck to mid/lower back, to shoulder and elbow pain at times.
What is the best modality for me to work on this at home? Calisthenics, Bodyweight Fitness, Resistance Bands?
Thank you
You are worth it ❤️
I’m not a bodybuilder, but I have a nice, well-defined physique. Over the years I’ve trained for four years at the gym, then with resistance bands for a couple of years, then progressed to a pull-up bar, weight vest, and dumbbells. I started going back to the gym last year. Would switching back to resistance bands have any negative effects on my physique?
I am relocating and I’m afraid I will be training with resistance bands for a while, before being well-established and having the time and money to go to the gym again.
I mostly do band and bodyweight work at home, about 4-5 sessions a week, but last weekend I had a chance to go to the gym with my gf so i decided id use it as a testing session to see where i was strength wise on the machines in terms of lbs.
Was definitely really different than my usual sessions. I ended up doing like 15 machines for 2 sets each. Was just plugging away for about 2 hours.
Biggest difference I noticed was how much less machines gas me out vs bands. Bands quickly make me gasp for breath, sweat like crazy, etc. that's usually the biggest factor slowing down my sets.
Machines have so much less of an impact here that those 2 hours almost snuck up on me.
Some exercises I was exactly as strong as I expected to be (like curls and squat/leg stuff, etc) others I was way under what I expected (chest press lbs, etc).
Biggest negative is that I went so long by accident that I ended up being quite the wreck afterwards: It turns out with cardio gasing out, I have a hard time really limiting myself or getting a good idea of how exhausted I am.
I think I also had a thing where I kept logging machines, knocking them back, and i just wanted to keep it going (plus gf kept working out too so that limiting factor took a while to materialize).
Either way I def have made progress in the past 5 months of band work. Def a good situation 😁
I had a question on PPL Split routine. I am planning to follow this routine for 5 or 6 days a week. I was wondering if I should keep 2 rest days (saturday and sunday) or just 1 rest day would be enough, which would be optimal and more effective. Second I wanted to ask, should I do push, pull, push, pull, legs OR should I follow pull, push, pull, push, legs. Lastly I wanted to ask if I should keep legs in the beginning of the week (Monday) or should I end off with legs (Friday).
I've been working from home for a while and my gym motivation was dead. Decided to try 30 days of resistance band workouts at home.
Results:
What I used: a simple resistance bands set, yoga mat, and foam roller.
If anyone's curious about starting, happy to answer questions. It's way more effective than I expected.
I went through months of severe pain while doctors sorted out hip vs. spine issues; Now I'm headed for full hip replacement in 1.5 months, on 15 mg meloxicam until the week before. So my muscles have weakened terribly and I need to work on doing what I can to improve the situation: I don't think I've ever gotten the right set of bands in the past, could someone please advise on appropriate strength so that I don't damage myself further? TIA.
Can i use resistance bands to start and perhaps progress in calisthenics i dont like the gym much but i want to have something to put stress on my body since the gym feels so forced as opposed to just doing wtv whenever
