Legacy show is already started controversial with allegations of industry plants and unfair eliminations and biasness of raftaar. But somehow all these controversies seems to be working in favour of them.

Showmakers already have poured a good amount of money in set designs and overall productions. They have also promised better payment than all 4 XYZ show's previous seasons and the payments will increase every week.

Financially it is a good move by kalamkaar team because show is hell lot of expensive to produce and Spotify streams of the songs of contestants are not raking huge numbers. For example Kirdaar and BiggSmoke songs are most popular in latest episode and they barely made 100k views on YouTube and kirdaars audition song is biggest yet in the show which only got 250k Spotify streams.

So the showmakers with free youtube uploads were probably actually not making as much money they were putting in and episode was only getting a million views.

Now the Zee5 stepped in they will lift some financial burden from showmakers and hopefully introduce some more audience through their marketing.

Also it should be seen as positive sign about show making good impact because most of the hiphop updates despite of protest was about the show

that means this show is making some waves that attracted the ott platforms to swoop in because it is highly unusual to pick a show mid season.

So instead of trolling them about "too expensive to stream free"

We should admire their impact.

Even raftaar with his hard drive projects which are supposed to be desktop me pade hue gaano ki ek random mixtape bana ke dal diya kind of project me bhi bohot sare gaane scratch kar diya tha

King ke mm project me 40+ gaane banake adhe se jyada scratch kar diye the

Thoda to sensible drop karo lala
