Need help: Knukonceptz Ultimate Terminal

Hey everyone, I have a 2004 Lexus LS430 with aftermarket audio, air ride, and LED lights that have external power. I've had everything connected to the OEM battery cables with ring terminals and decided to try out the Knukonceptz ultimate battery terminal kit to clean up the wiring under the hood. I cut the ring terminals and twisted the wires together - the 10ga. and 12ga. wires for the compressors and lights - and have to use the top mount post adapter for the positive terminal aaaannnnddd......it's too tall for the hood to close. I've got a Duralast Gold AGM battery (since I'm running a bunch of extra aftermarket equipment) that is a bit bigger than the standard factory battery, I think, so that + the ultimate terminal + the battery cable and cover makes it too tall.

So now I'm in a bit of a bind since I cut the ring terminals off and I'd rather not re-terminate them but instead see if there's an easy way to fix this problem. The Lexus OEM battery cable has two main cables that meet on a 90 degree plate to make it top mount, so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to cut and re-terminate the factory cables? Then I could use the side-post adapter on the Knukonceptz to make it lower profile. Or is there a different kind of terminal expansion kit that is lower profile that would still allow me to keep the OEM cable end intact?

Apologies in advance for sounding like a total newbie; I was MECP certified 15 years ago, but I never installed anything with this many power cables so I'm just slightly out of my depth.
