So I found this article online that we apparently found melanosomes in preserved feathers from an Ornithomimus specimen back in 2015 as per date in the article yet when I try to search anywhere else across the internet, there’s nothing out there about these feathers and if we looked at these melanosomes under a microscope to see if they’re rod shaped or whatever to determine or speculate colors and patterns and such. So in the 10 plus years since this apparent discovery what have we done with this since? I can’t find anything.
