Ordered an Obvious Scam Listing From a 3rd Party Seller, Should I Be Concerned?
As title says. I bought a walking pad/treadmill, I realized after ordering that the 3rd party seller it came from had no reviews which made me concerned, but I had already ordered. Just yesterday, I checked the tracking info and it said it was a 1 lb bubble mailer, which obviously is not a treadmill lol. I went onto the app and noticed that the seller was now deleted and no longer existed.
Sure enough today it was delivered, but in a completely different state, and was a tiny mailer envelope from the delivery photo.
Walmart chat now says I have to wait two days for a refund “just in case it shows up”. I’m sure they will give me my money back, but I’m concerned if my info is compromised? Why else would they commit this scam? Did they do it to get my address info or payment info? Or does Walmart not give my card information to third party sellers?
Just not sure if I need to be concerned, or need to complete any other security measures due to this scam listing. I have already changed my Walmart account password and made sure 2fa is activated.
