So a few days ago I had a group of about four people. I greeted them and got their drinks. I was taking their food order, and it came down to the last person. He ordered our fried chicken. I was about to ask what his two sides were, but he immediately started ordering a to-go item—a pulled pork sandwich.
I asked if he wanted to substitute the fries, and he said no. Great, no problem. I then asked again what he wanted as his sides for the fried chicken, but he repeated that he didn’t want to substitute the fries. Okay… I already got that.
I asked him a third time what his sides were for the chicken, and he started going on about how fries aren’t a side since they automatically come with the sandwiches. At this point, the other three were trying to get him to stop and actually listen to what I was asking, but he kept talking and saying things like, “you should start thinking more like me.”
After that, every time I went over to check on them or ask if they needed refills, he’d basically yell “WHISKEY.” He was saying it in a joking way, but it was still really disruptive. He even apologized after doing it—just to turn around and do it again.
I eventually asked my manager to go talk to them, and she told me to stop serving him alcohol (he had already ordered two Coronas).
