I posted a wishlist with some items that will help me get through surgery recovery in a couple weeks and I just wanted to say thank you to anyone that purchased any of those things for me.

One person left a comment saying they got a few of the items and I was able to thank them directly... But the other few items on the wishlist were quietly purchased and no one left a comment saying it was them so I just wanted to thank this community as a whole.

I'm not sure how many people helped or who it was but I've been stressing myself sick about this recovery period. These items are seriously going to make my recovery so much easier and I can't thank everyone enough. I finally feel like I can breathe and stop stressing so much for the first time in the month since I was told I'd need the surgery.

This entire community is so wonderful. Thank you all so much for everything that you do for those of us in need. I can't wait to get through this surgery and finally be out of pain so I can get back to work and be able to help others in need on this sub in the future ❤️

I'm going to be having surgery to fuse my ankle in approximately 2 weeks (May 13th). This is the second major surgery on this ankle since sustaining a severe pilon fracture in a car accident in late 2024. This is supposed to be the surgery that finally gets me out of pain and hopefully back in a position to be able to work again.

I've mostly been out of work since my car accident and live with my disabled father who, unfortunately, can't afford to help me with these things because he's on a fixed income and has been supporting me for 1.5 years while I try to recover mentally and physically from this accident.

While recovering from surgery I'm going to be unable to bear any weight on my ankle for 6-12 weeks and I will be stuck in bed/seated with my leg elevated/ice packs for the vast majority of the time.

I've made an Amazon wishlist for some things that would be really helpful to have during my recovery. Things like: cast cover, pillow to elevate my leg, some comfortable/baggy lounge pants, body wipes for high pain days where I might not be able to take a shower, and a couple little things to help me pass the time and not go completely insane while stuck in bed (like a coloring/activity book.) Obviously my main goal is to get the practical things... the coloring/activity book things would be nice to have but are not necessary and are not my main goal here at all. Anything would be so greatly appreciated - even if that's just sending some positive vibes my way! Thank you so much.

Ps. Please let me know if I did anything wrong with the settings or anything on the wishlist. I don't think I've ever shared one publicly before so I'm not sure if I got it all correct.
