After lots of try nad error this is starting to look crisp

After 2 bad batches I think I got the technique for budget proxies.

PDF from proxxied with scryfall images bc I like original old cards, copy shop printing, rotary trimmer and rigged 3mm corner rounder.

Paper is 250g/m2 I think which makes cards weight around 1,4g but hey, close enough.

What do you guys think about how they look?

Edit: sry for the typo on the title haha, I was publishing from my phone

Pointed Old School 95

Hello guys,

Well at this point if you have red some of my posts you know that I like to make rules, think about new ways to approach this cardpool and that kind of stuff.

For the last few month I've been playing online and "crafting" a set of rules for an Old School 95 format, so up to Ice Age (well and hml bc it's 1995 too and directed by jesper), which is an expansion that was being developped by Richard Garfield since MTG was born you could say, and that also adds lots of interesting archetypes (ehem, Necro), and way to approach already existing ones.

X-points is an amazing format but since I had total freedom here and no pre existing community, I ventured into the realm of half points and added some special rules to avoid 3 or 4 color slop and some other stuff (I've been told Group penalization is a bit hard to understand but I think it really adds some variety to the format).

The image I posted is meant to explain everything the format has in terms of rules (well and deck is minimum 60 cards and sideboard max 15 cards, then together they can't contain more than 10 points).

This ruleset has been tested a lot and has proven to give a very balanced game experience, so if anyone would want to play with it and join us that'll be great!

Thx for reading!

Hello fellow players,

Old School Magic is great and has some of the most unique and wild ideas ever printed, however if you want to be competitive you often end up playing the same 2 or 3 decks and of course, don't forget to fill half your deck with the same cards over and over again (and don't even mention the price). The "for fun" aspect shouldn't mean accepting a 3 decks meta.

We've been working on a points-based Old School format that extends the card pool, including Ice Age, Homelands and Alliances. These sets are cohesive with Old School, in fact they are the last sets to share art direction, and also contain some very interesting cards that open up brewing space even more.
Apart from the point system we've incorporated some other rules in order to eliminate auto includes for example.

If you're interested, we usually play online and proxies are fine for future webcam games.
You can check out the rules here and some deck lists. There's still brewing to be done and if you want to try it out, help refining the rules or just be a part of the gathering feel free to check the links or dm me.

Thanks for reading!

Hey,

A friend an I have been making deck lists for a throwback format I thought of.
Here is a list with a bunch of decks we've tested:

https://moxfield.com/lists/JpmKM-a2a-x-points

If you like it and want to know more there's a link to the deckbuilding rules and you can join us expanding this!

As a quick introduction it is a 1993-1996 format with a point system and some extra rules to ensure a very healthy meta and I think it is especially interesting for spikey players that do not want to play the same deck over an over again because it's just the best.

Thanks!
