Hey all,

I’ve lost weight from 320 pounds to 250 and I have been walking 5 miles daily. I want to start running and did the first two c25k this week.

I ran in the same shoes I had recently got for walking, the new Balance 1080v15, before that I used brooks ghosts and I was getting some toe pain so I got the 1080 in extra wide 4e.

I did the c25k in them and I turned like down roads and run back where I live to run and when I turn the shoes feel a little wobbly on the outsides and I feel I don’t have support so makes turning harder.

I’ve been looking at what running shoes to get as I start this journey to fix this and be comfortable so I figured I would try the nova blast 5. I have just ordered them in wide and hopefully they will be good? I normally where a size 11 us shoes but I got them in a 11.5 to try.

Would these be a good option do you think or any ideas on something better? Years ago over a decade I went to a running store and they measure my foot and I was given a 11 wide brooks adrenaline gts which I think were fine but I barely remember. I tried to get a newer version of them but they also made my big toe have some pain.

Foot info
