RX580 out, 9070XT in

The RX580 8GB card, which I had since 2019, was a great card. However, it was time for an upgrade, and the 9070XT was the best choice. I also got a Ryzen 7 5800X (not much to choose from these days). It was a bit of a struggle to fit the 9070XT in a Meshify C, but it worked perfectly in the end. I had to lower one of the front fans to make room for it, and I had that piece 3d printed to cover the hole and not restrict the airflow of the fan. I hope it will serve me well for years to come.

Cool how you can just find and 3d print things like this

After having to remove the metal plate to lower the fan because of the gpu was too big I found this model that covers the hole and also doesn’t restrict airflow of the fan, later I found a model that had holes for the cable but I found it too late, I cut the holes myself on this one.

After (almost) two months of use I can say I’m happy

I’ve always wanted to try a MacBook, but I never justified the price for my basic use case. I don’t need the full power of a MacBook, so the MacBook Neo was perfect for me. Also, my 2019 iPad was starting to feel its age, so it was time to get something to replace it. I still use it to watch videos, and recently, I’ve been using it as a secondary monitor via Sidecar, which works surprisingly well. Also found this sleeve to carry them both.
