Ordered one a few days ago with the education discount and I did the verification via Unidays. Is there a stocking issue that it’s stuck in processing for so long?
I just broke my keyboard and im so upset, it was the pins that broke under the scissor keys, and my mom just got me this and I feel so awful, im not usually one to break expensive things but is there anything I can do at all to get a cheap repair or an easy fix so I don't feel as bad? I was thinking I could glue where the pins bent with e6000 so it wouldn't damage anything but also would be stretchy. I know im an idiot guys you don't have to say it.
Recieved it yesterday. Have 2 full days of using it so far. I do a lot of scrolling through pages/comments etc using the trackpad. Has anyone noticed the lag on it?
Like I can be going down and it just stops, doesn’t register all of a sudden almost like the trackpad doesn’t feel my fingers. This wasn’t an issue on my other MBP so I know it’s not Me.
Edit: cut edu loophole for non students
Got the skin from Xtremeskins, I think it looks great, I don’t want scratches either, what do you think?
I am a college student and and i already use an iPhone 15 and iPad 11 ,I was planning to buy the MacBook Neo since it looks enough for me and for my future studies and fits my budget(60-70k), but i have seen many people say it’s not worth it for the price and also for long term
So should I go for the Neo or buy an older MacBook Air like the M1 or M2 instead for better performance and overall experience?
Do drop your suggestions
I want to buy a laptop for home use. I have a Mac mini M1 which I use for storage of documents, photo and music library local storage. The laptop would be for family usage, shopping, travels, administration, media consumption. Long iPad Pro user but fed up with it, not up to the tasks despite being a great machine crimped by the OS and app design imho.
I am sure that the Neo is perfect for these tasks.
However I am concerned about durability: the computers I buy usually last for a decade or so, don’t care so much if I don’t have the latest OS after a while.
Will the Neo be up to a long longevity given the almost two years old A18? This is my main concern. To address that I would consider buying a MacBook Air, despite the M5 being an overkill for my intended use. I know however that 7-8 years of top performance and another 2-3 of decent daily usage are assured.
So I work at a school and was using my personal M1 Pro at first (don’t want a CB), but I got tired of docking and undocking cause I use it at home for podcasts and edits.
Figured I’d get a Neo for day to day instead and work and now I’m using it everyday and barely touch my MBP….anyone else just happy to use their light, smaller, colorful (I have silver) Neo while ignoring their other love lol
My senior wants a Neo but I can't get the student discount on the website. Anyone have luck getting it with the discount at the store? I know it is only for college kids but hoping it might be easier when at the store.
If so, which one?
I am developing a real time camera filter for iOS. Currently has 5 different render modes, water, liquid input, circuit bend, true ascii vision, blocky retro. 11 color/filters and many adjustments like, gamma, brightness, contrast, fps (15, 30, 60), grid size (resolution), and edge strength. Also supports portrait and landscape mode and saves video and photos to iPhone photo library. Check out the GitHub and leave a star if you like the project. It’s free and will be available for AppStore soon! Enjoy and thank you for checking it out. Here is the GitHub: https://github.com/knightsky-cpu/Liquid-Cam-iOS
I bought a macbook on Friday.
Since I live in Europe it didn't come with a transformer so I'm using their cable in a Samsung 15w charger (supercharger)
When I try to charge it off, he makes this sound.
I don't know what's going on: (.
It's happening with apple cable and also with the Samsung cable. When he is connected, the same does not happen.
Note: One day I used my friend's charger (xiaomi) which was also USB-C. I don't know if it has to do with it.
I haven't tried to charge it off. I'm going to an assistance.
Any extensions you guys can suggest for safari? First time Mac OS user
The version of macOS that my Neo shipped with, 26.3.1, seems to have a fun bug where after transferring a user account from Windows, the keychain becomes corrupted and you can no longer log in. The password can't be reset in recovery, with the only option being to deactivate the Mac first, so I went with that, which resulted in the Mac no longer booting at all, and internet recovery failed 5 minutes in every time, so now I have to restore in DFU, FUN!
