How to check for dmged CPU?
Hi!
A friend of mine has following issue:
He had a defect PSU after some kind of voltage spike (probably) which got replaced.
Now whenever he tries to play his games (Hunt:Showdown or Arc Raiders) they just crash pretty recent after starting it. Sometimes he gets into main menu, sometimes even in game but they just crash shortly after.
We are now trying to locale the issue.
What we tried so far:
- Clean re-install graphic drivers
- Fully reinstall Windows
- Run the windows memcheck
- Using "OCCT" for multiple hardware-tests. Graphic results were fine, only for CPU+RAM Test there were "errors on physical core xy" and "memory - 4 errors"
Now we are looking for deeper insight on the problem - the results from OCCT can mean "many different, probably not significant" things, as far as we got to know, so we would like to test CPU and RAM in more advanced ways.
Do you know any good software or so to do so? Maybe any other tip for the whole scenario? 😃
