My grandma just enrolled me in a PC building summer camp for only 250$, it advertises you can build a gaming computer at the camp, what i find crazy is that you get to take home the gaming computers, the computers are on the high end side of gaming too not just a cheap build with used parts from 2001 or something, the reason they can do this is actually pretty cool. They have brand deals with company’s like intel, AMD and ext and also it is a 100% non profit organization, they also get the money for this because all the other courses that cost 300$+ cost them little to no money to run and that generates so much money that they can run gaming pc building programs like this for dirt cheap. (Dirt cheap for the part values)

NOTICE: before anyone says that “there is no mention of taking it home on the website” i commented an image twice from the website saying you can. Also before you say “it will be ewaste parts” there are images of people from the camp building pcs and all of them had high end pc parts

UPDATE: I have decided to email the place asking what parts they will give us and if we can keep the computers, guess we will see where this goes.

I would like to formally apologize for saying that i have an AMD 6090 with 2 zettabytes of ram in the off topic chat of the PCMR discord, i got banned from the discord for saying that and i am making this post so hopefully a mod will see this and unban me, i don’t only do sh*tposts i actually ask genuine questions sometimes and i am sorry for being childish.

I just got this motherboard for 15$ with a free cpu, i found it at a thrift store and they wanted 15$, they did not know a thing about how much it really was and had no idea what it is, so they said 15$, i bought it so fast and now i have a new motherboard and cpu for my budget 1080p build.

I got a Nice antec 900 for 30$ at DAV It had a gigabyte SLI motherboard and a AMD Athlon 64 x2 CPU it had no GPU or RAM or HDD but i don’t need them because i am making a 1080p build with this case it also had a 550w power supply and after cleaning the PC and its components and then wiring everything back up the PSU still worked, after that i checked for leaking capacitors or any capacitors showing any signs of failure it all came out working and good so i will keep the PSU for the build i am using the case for, It also had some nice dark blue LED fans that surprisingly still works so thats nice.
