I recently removed the sprayer arm along with the plastic plate under it on my LG LDF5545ST dishwasher to do a deeper clean.

I noticed a rubber ring with small ridges on it floating in the drain area. I’ve tried fitting it around the filter, or putting it somewhere in the drain area but the ring seems slightly too big. I tried putting it down at the bottom hoping it’d create a filter between the filter and the drain, but the dishwasher started making a high pitched noise half way through the cycle, and the detergent pod didn’t fully resolve. Help!!
