I think Rachel McAdams in Send Help was inspired by Shambo
Sorry if this isn’t allowed but I just saw the movie and it had my head spinning and this seems like the forum that would get this the most.
Either Rachel McAdams, the two writers or hell even Sam Raimi are fans of Shambo. Throughout the movie McAdams (who was phenomenal in the movie as she usually is) played her character with a certain quirkiness that felt oddly familiar. Cut to the scene when she is wearing a buff like headpiece. It was like everything clicked into place. The Survivor influences were strong throughout it. So I think it’s reasonable to believe the Linda character was based on Shambo just turned up to 11 (which is wild cause Shambo lives at 11). Watch Survivor Samoa and watch Send Help. You’ll see what I mean.
Am I crazy or did any of you see that too!? I’d die if this was ever confirmed.
