Elevated ALT. Ultrasound scheduled. Very anxious.

Hi everyone,

I have been having some health anxiety for the last couple of days, as my physician‘s NP has scheduled me for an ultrasound in a couple of weeks as a result of two blood tests showing “elevated ALT.”

6 months ago, I had a test that showed my ALT at 43, and last week I had a scan stating my ALT was at 46. The repeated elevated levels and the NP scheduling an US have me concerned. The NP brought up NAFLD being a possible cause for the elevated levels.

Should I be preparing for a diagnosis of NAFLD?

More information:

I am a 32 year old man, I am 6’2 in height, fluctuate between 255-265 in weight, my diet is really not great, and my AST levels have been in the lower to mid 20s for each test. I do not drink. I smoke marijuana, but nothing else. Currently take Wixela inhub daily for asthma, lisinopril 10mg, and a multivitamin.

I apologize if this is an unusual post here, just trying to find answers/prepare myself.
