[Offer] Second Life Postcards [US to US]

helloooo! I'm back with another offer.

Life has been crazy with probate ending and now trying to sell the house, so help me keep my brain from taking off and going on vacation!

I have quite a few postcards that were supposed to have been mailed to people and either b/c accounts disappeared, addresses changed, I lost it and had to send another, etc. As a result, I have many that already have postage, but I need to white out personal information/add washi tape or stickers to make them mailable.

Most of these are touristy postcards, but I do have a few bookish one and some random ones.

If you are interested, please fill out this form and then comment down below. I will only be sending to people who do both steps!
Thank yous are appreciated for this offer as I'm trying to reach the next flair!

[Thank You] Thank you part 2!

I'm back with some more thank yous!! Y'all are so amazing for adding these to my post box and creating happiness in my life!!

u/soxgal - Thank you for the nice card and the cute stickers! They went straight into my little sticker journal! I always wondered why Honey Smacks picked a frog too! lol

u/fooskaaa - Thank you so much for the awesome House of Voodoo postcard! I love it!! Runzas are so so good! My mom's family is from Western Nebraska, but Runzas are a hugely popular food in the entire state. They are really good for people to take along with them when they're working cattle in the pasture or working the fields on the tractor because they are contained in their little bun and delicious hot or cold!

u/themajesticpoodle - Thank you so much for the amazing Greetings From Washington DC card! I love it!! I'm amused you enjoyed the equine family portrait so much. XD

u/OKReveal2698 - Thank you so much for the fun summer postcard! It was appropriately cheerful! I hope your summer is ending well!

u/SshellsBbells - I am cackling at this rooster postcard. I love it and probably will make a copy of it to hang in my hen house once we move XD. We're getting one last round of heat and humidity for monsoon season and my horses are over it!! Me too to be honest. Hope you're surviving under your heated dog blanket!

u/useful_skirt_4305 - Thank you so much for the amazing Tutankhamun postcard! Love it! I had no idea that Mesa had a haunted museum so now I'm going to go find it!

u/Traditional_Brush719 - OH my goodness! This space postcard is so freakin' cool. Thank you so much!

u/danna72450 - Thank you so much for the awesome sea life card! I love the art on this postcard. I absolutely agree with you on the Kia Soul. The only thing I ever liked about those is the hamster commercial. haha! Also with the Cybertruck. No thank you XD

u/Andromeda921 - Thank you so much for the cute cat card!! I had a black kitty named Maverick and this made me think of him. : 3 I always forget about the cat in Outlander!!

u/anosako - Thank you so much for the neat Serena Williams postcard! I'm going to have to find more from this set! If you get tired of any rainstorms, feel free to send a few here! We've got the heat and the humidity of a monsoon season, but not really any rain yet!

u/UsefulEyes - Thank you so much for the awesome comic postcard! I love ones like this! I also really enjoyed the Wallace and Gromit stamps XD

u/Ok_Theme7072 - Thank you so much for the Peony postcard! I have a tattoo of one so this was aptly picked!

u/Exit_Infinite - Thank you so much for the great Route 66 postcard! I'm going to have to check that book series out! It sounds so interesting! Hope your summer is ending on a cool note.

u/OkiOkie08 - Thank you so much for the awesome Circe card! I love it and think I will have it displayed on my bookshelf somewhere! I love Spongebob too. I quote it far too often XD

u/thunderlightboomzap - Thank you so much for the card of affirmations! They're going to come in handy in the next few weeks! I also love the giraffe card. : 3

[Thank you] Belated thank you pt 1

Hello hellloooo!!

I am here with some thank yous for a whole bunch of perfect postcards! I apologize for being a little late. Back to School last week kicked my booty! I have quite a few to post thank yous for, so this first post will be from those who mentioned RAoCs on the postcard. I need to track the others down first!

u/SshellsBbells - Thank you so much for the cute little camping postcard! The artwork is so cute. I know of a Freedom Ride in FL that is similar to our Horses Help down here. What a fun program.

u/concrete_drinker - We used to have a black kitty like the one you sent named Maverick! This will be perfect in my library once I move! Also, your banana made me think of the Bananas in Pajamas and I LOVE it! Thank you!

u/groceryowl - Thank you so much for the Saratoga Springs postcard! I love it! I never knew about Alice Ball, but now I'm on a hunt to learn more about her!

u/Typical-Carrot-1172 -Thank you for the Lake Placid postcard! I love that movie XD I've never been to the Adirondacks, but I hear wonderful things! The last adventure I took wassss.....probably heading to the Tucson Book Festival in March. My mom and I went for the first time even tho we've lived an hour and a half from it for years now. It was a lot of fun!

u/Hoolu123 - Thank you so much for the adorable marmot postcard! Goodness they're cute! I love watching videos on Facebook. I hope your mom had a nice trip!

u/OK_Reveal2698 - My mother says thank you for the cute postcard and the nice words. She's added the books you mentioned to her classroom amazon list and we'll be on the lookout for copies! Thank you so much for sending it to her! She has it hanging up on her mini fridge : 3

u/hluevsai - Thank you so much for a route 66 card I don't have yet!! I love local artists and this is perfect! I'll have to add it to my Rt 66 themed room once we move.

u/TyeDyeAmish - Thank you for this vintage card! I always wonder what it was like back then, getting to go to the soda fountain and hang out. A 5 cent coke would be nice. That would mean that a postcard would have been 1 or 2 cents. Wouldn't that be nice!

u/mouserat - Thank you so much for the fun and creative stamp postcard! I've always saved the postal catalogs, now I know why. You have inspired me! XD. Thank you for the book rec! I've been working on reading more nonfiction that isn't memoirs and this is perfect! Now to go find it at the library. Thank you also for all the cute washi and stickers : 3. SO CUTE

u/AffectionateFroyo892 - Thank you so much for the ADORABLE llama card! XD So cute. I LOVE that P&P it's soo good! I'm with you on being impatient waiting for Postcrossing. Sometimes, it takes FOREVERRRRRR. Hope a slot or two opens up soon!

u/Sension5705 - Thank you so much for the postage!! I can't remember if this is the right subreddit, but I can't for the life of me find where I saved the info, and wanted to make sure to get you thanked! These are so cool! And the trashpanda stickers are going to get used right away XD

Thank you so much!

Thank you to u/prior_Preference_944 for the wonderful Route 66 card! I have a picture of myself on a similar stretch of the 66 and I’ll have to put these next to each other once I move! I love that you saw a little mink! They’re so cute, those destructive little monsters.

[36/F] Looking for bookish penpals!

Hello Hello!!

I am 36 and I live in the Southwestern US. I am currently wanting to see if I can find someone who would be interested in being bookish penpals! I am a total page dragon, book flea, book worm, whatever you'd like to call me and I'd love to have more friends in the bookish world.

So my idea is to begin a friendship with someone where we read and annotate a book and then send it to each other to add our annotations to their book. I'd love to craft a relationship that would turn into a friendship full of letters and annotated books and just over all bookish fun. I'm not set on any strict timelines for the books to be read and annotated and am happy with media mail. I am able/wanting to also send letters/postcards separate of the books to talk about life and other things, but if anyone is interested in strictly just sending books back and forth, lemme know that too!

I read a lot, so I am open to lots of genres and am happy to share my goodreads or previous years' reads to see if we have similar reading tastes. I am easily amused and slow to be offended, love music, roadtrips, collecting things, animals, gardening, crochet, crafting, my livestock, photography, and so much more. I tend to ramble in my letters and they get to be wordy, but they're usually entertaining. At least, that's what I've been told. LOL! I do not reply same day, adulting is hard, but will reply within a week and half with letters, sooner with postcards.

I'm an open book and really just want to make bookish pen friends! If you are interested, or this makes you think of something similar and you think we'd get along, send me a DM!

Looking forward to it!

Soooo, to start us off, I’m offering some blind pick postcards! I’m only able to do US-US right now. I need to either find which box my international stamps are in, or have a chance to order some. Once I do, I’ll do this again for international.

Without further ado, the link below is for the form. Please fill it out and drop a comment if you’d like a blind postcard pick sent to you! Anything sent will be family friendly, but other than that, it will be a true blind pick. No takebacksies! 🤣
