Weird encounter on Insurgency Sandstorm
Hey everyone ! First post here and to be honest I am quite unsure if I can write this here. I just wanted to share a weird but at the same time funny encounter we had with a friend of mine on IS.
It was like around like a year ago or so. My buddy and I love to play shooters together and we often played IS at the time.
We had a normal game as usual. We were playing as the insurgents on a outpost mode I think of something like that. We made jokes and all, goofying around. We stayed in the PS party so we could have an easier talk and not use the radio in game but also don't bother people. However, we could still hear some people talking in game.
Unlike most of conversations we hear, this was really really weird. There was a guy talking to another. The second one was didn't even really spoke a word during the short period of time we hear the conversation. The first one was always talking however. He was actually teaching his mate how to act and have tactical mooves. Not teaching to play, actual mooves.
The guy was talking like he was teaching someone how to get correct angles and shooting like it was real. He had a strange accent too. I don't remember well how it sounded like but it was sure this guy was not british or american.
My friend and I listened to him for some time actually, about the whole game. We were a bit scared about it because it sounded well too realistic and serious to be a true gaming moment for the guy talking and this without getting out of this serious mood for a moment.
After a moment, we decided since we are fucking dumb monkeys to get on the in game chat and speak to them. We were not laughing at them at all but as soon as they heard us the two guys left instantly mid game.
We never really knew what was this scene about. We just knew it was uncommun. You can tell this is exagerated and maybe you could be right in a way. But I can definitly tell, with now 10 years of gaming sessions online now (yeah I'm only 20 but whatever) that I felt something was wrong on this game for the first time of my life
