I'm an applicant from a non-EU country and I've been accepted into an open-access Master's programme (Engineering) at the University of Bologna. I submitted my pre-enrollment application on the Universitaly website on 5 May, but I think I may have made a mistake. I didn't register through the Studenti Online portal before submitting the pre-enrollment. Now that I have registered, the portal is asking me to pay the first installment. The deadline is in late October. My questions are:

1. Is paying this installment tied to my Universitaly pre-enrollment application being approved? In other words, will my pre-enrollment not be accepted until I pay the fee?
2. Or can I finish the pre-enrollment process now, complete my visa procedures, and then pay the first installment later, before the deadline?

If anyone has been through this before, I'd be extremely grateful for your help in clearing up this confusion.
