I’m so tired of the hypocrisy
I feel like a large majority of criticism towards the HP is not actual criticism we can conclude from based on actual, in-game evidence, but just personal dislike towards a character primarily based on virtue signaling and other stuff. Certain buzz words or word salads are repeated in order to shut down many discussions related to the HP but they don’t realize the same concepts can be used against them lol.
Phanes is a weak fraud who was wounded by Nibelung, but they forget Nibelung had the power of the Abyss along with the powers of the Three Moons. They forget that out of the two, Nibelung was the one who not just died, but was completely annihilated, according to Kukulkan. Phanes still lives, but in a weakened state.
Phanes is an evil abuser because they punished the angels, their own children and guides of humanity, for inciting a mass rebellion that directly threatened the lives of every being by risking the Abyss to infiltrate the planet, but they forgot that Nibelung was a parent himself who imprisoned his own daughters, tasked with the same protection, in a time prison for all eternity that would kill them the moment they regained their freedom.
Phanes is an evil colonizer who destroyed the environment when they were terraforming the planet for humanity, but they forget that Nibelung himself ravaged the planet with the power of the Abyss. They forget that Dragon Sovereigns who became infected with the power of the Abyss, like Apep and Xbalanque, brought destruction to land and life.
Phanes is an evil alien with no right to the planet of Teyvat, but they forget that Nibelung was merely born alongside the planet; he was not the actual creator of it.
Phanes is a thief with no originality, but they forget that they were resourceful enough to modify elements of the planet to the point of them having important functions that have lasted and benefited most living beings. They forget that they had their own reality bending powers prior to descending upon the world.
Phanes is a control freak who’s oppressing humanity, but they forget that their paranoia stems from the universe literally dying from the Abyss. Phanes is inhumane for having a system that prevents the infiltration of the Abyss and for having a “the ends justify the means” mentality, but they forget that Nibelung has the same mentality and they justify his crimes by incorrectly pointing out a different/bigger threat.
Phanes is an apathetic, hateful god who hates their creations, but they forget that Nibelung doomed himself and his entire race. They forget that without Phanes, all of the dragons would be extinct. As a matter of fact, no one would exist at all.
Also, they forget that any Nibelung glazing or praise is an automatic Phanes glazing too lol.
