Does anyone need a parking ticket? I bought one when it wasn't needed (I've got VIP)

Realised I didn't need to buy a parking ticket so I have a four day one available, say £20 rather than £30.

Update: Sold on Twickets

Brie's allergic reaction

I just posted a long awaited update with both our hounds so thought I'd share this as well.

She's all ok now!

But a couple weeks ago she came back from a walk, all seemed fine. Later she appeared in discomfort, really itchy, she was sick and you can see in one picture of her on the sofa how sad she looked.

But the most noticeable was how swollen her face was!

She couldn't settle, she was pacing and itchy all night so barely slept.

She was fine later the following day and caught up on her sleep so we assume it was an allergic reaction, but to what, no idea.

We did contact the vet and they advised to keep an eye on her and if it gets worse to bring her in.

Has anyone ever experienced this? I wonder if she upset a bee or wasp and got stung? I can't think what else we'd have in the garden that would cause it unless it was something she ate on her walk which took a while to have an affect.

Brie and Barry like the KONG squeezy cheese

I realised it's been many months since I posted a picture of Brie or Barry, maybe I never posted Barry?

Well things escalated and we ended up with a second greyhound late last year. His racing name was Barrybeergoggles, as we're into pinball we thought we could rename him to Bally quite easily (it's a pinball manufacturer and also a common greyhound breeding name?) but it turns out he suits Barry so he goes by both depending on his mood.

He's such a happy go lucky boy, he's just 5, but acts like a big baby, so often we him baby boy. Brie on the other hand is now 3 but seems like the mature older sister 😆

He's nearly identical in size and height to Brie which is a coincidence considering Brie is big for a girl and Barry is small for a boy.

Barry loves our bed, often we'll do a few selfies together as you can see.

But finally we finished decorating the second bedroom, check out how happy he is with his wallpaper!

Hope you enjoy the photo dump of our dynamic duo, Briedog and Barryboy!

We need to talk about Solstafir and walls of sound

I got into Solstafir around the time of Otta, I saw them live and became obsessed.

I wouldn't say I'm a massive fan, I'm not overly familiar with any album after Otta although I have listened to them occasionally. It's been years since I properly listened to Otta and other albums again. When I discovered Solstafir I was already into post rock but hadn't yet got into post metal, that happened in the years after.

I just wanted to express my love for what they do so well on Kold, Svartir Sandar and Otta.

There's something about their use of an e-bow and I guess controlled feedback? Just a massive wall of noise that screams emotion.

Goddess of Ages from Kold is a great example and a song I could listen to on repeat because it takes me somewhere else.

Also Dagmal from Otta is a good example of that wall of noise after the middle section where there's what I can only call 'melodic feedback', I don't think it's an e-bow. Does anyone know what's going on here?

Since discovering Post Metal I have become obsessed with Rosetta, although different in style their wall of sound intensity has a similar feeling to me.

Is it just me or is TZ really buggy?

Playing on Switch.

Most of my games include some weird glitch, for example ..

I had the powerball, hit right orbit, magnet grabbed the ball (impossible with a powerball) but when the ball reappeared at the upper right flipper it has changed to a standard pinball.

Got a powerball fed to the shooter lane, as per the real machine. But once plunged it immediately started powerball mania without having to put the powerball into the gumball. Then multiple balls appeared in the auto shooter lane ontop of each other which were gradually launched. So I had an impossible Powerball mania including a powerball.

Those were just on my last played game. I have had other similar glitches, most involving the powerball.

I can't find any reports of these glitches online

Do I have Sinusitis, is this normal?

I'm not asking for a diagnosis just opinions so I know whether to push my GP to take it seriously.

Every day I wake up feeling stuffy, this has gone on as long as I remember, possibly years. Some days it lasts throughout, others it seems to disappear or I somehow forget about it. It's like one nostril is blocked and the other isn't clear. Sometimes I have a post nasal drip but not constantly, but it feels more common than not.

Sometimes I feel pressure in my cheeks and near my eyes which sometimes turns into a headache. I feel fatigued often as if my sleep isn't good quality.

Twice in the last year I've had a couple weeks off work where I've had migraines and the last time the migraines were so bad I was being physically sick.

I've been to the doctor at least three times, both times I was prescribed antibiotics and told I have a sinus infection or sinus inflammation. One time a nurse said I have a deviated septum which makes me more susceptible to sinus issues.

Today I woke up 3 hours ago and I still feel stuffy, when I breathe through my nose it feels stuffy like both nostrils are blocked or narrow and I have pressure around my cheeks and eyes.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Should I visit the GP again and try for a referral for a specialist? I really struggle with the GP and often don't feel they take you seriously and just prescribe more drugs.

I drive for a UK TOC and since we were nationalised theres been zero noticeable change at ground level and I don't keep an eye on performance stats.

A friend of mine said performance (delays and cancellations) have increased since nationalising most TOCs. Is this true?

Where is the info? How is nationalising going?
