
PSA: Yao Guang is Bugged (?) in Currency Wars
So I was doing my weeklies, and realized that some characters are different in CW compared to any other mode. Only one stood out, YG. She can be placed off-field and on-field for starters. Looking at the data bank, it states strangely that YG has 170 max energy both on and off-field. This is different from 180 max energy we know in every other mode.
However, when placing YG on-field, she indeed has 180 max energy in combat. Ok, well who gives?
The problem is that YG starts at 85 energy rather than 90 energy, as game normally calculates energy at the start of the battle by (Max Energy/2). 5 energy is a difference, especially when YG is an extremely ultimate-reliant character that activates Aha Instant, which can be the difference between clearing a stage and not.
Ok, well what if we place her off-field? When placing YG off-field, she actually has 170 energy. However, the downside is that her basic attacks only regenerate 20 energy instead of 30. On the other hand, after an Aha Instant ends, she gains 20 energy compared to the 5 you get on-field after an elation skill. This is reason #33550336 why YG should be placed off-field; she gets incredible speed of 200%/300% when 2-star/3-star respectively, and she needs anti-grav boots spamming, the best being 2 Anti grav boots and one lightning boots, making her generate more Aha Instants and more energy faster than on-field.
So yea, I know that other characters have energy that starts more than half of max energy, like Sparxie for some odd reason being 90/160, but this is the only character that actually has a different max energy when placed off-field compared to on-field that influences combat viability.
TLDR: YG has a different max energy off-field compared to on-field, compared to every other game mode.
This might be a bug or at least unintended, what do you think about this?
