No, NUAI Does Not Need ERCOT Batch Zero for Phase 1 (200 MW)
Correcting the record here. A post earlier today on this sub-reddit incorrectly claimed that NUAI (TCDC) would be at risk of significant delay and losing its prospective tenant, if an ERCOT large-load interconnection (LLI) application been not been filed in time for ERCOT's infamous "Batch Zero" timeline, for Phase 1. This is factually incorrect.
In the call today, Charlie Nelson clarified and made it clear they aren't waiting around for ERCOT:
>"Phase 1 is 200MW. Our deployment is expected to be supported by adjacent generation. In other words, we’re not starting with a traditional grid buildout, waiting on the grid or significant new infrastructure to complete our first step."
From the Slide Deck:
>Phase 1 (200 MW) Powered-shell deployment via adjacent generation; no significant electrical infrastructure required
Grid interconnection does not come until Phase 3:
>Phase 3 (+750 MW) Phased, demand-driven expansion toward 1.4 GW through additional BTM generation and bi-directional grid interconnection
