I'm a 26-year-old self-taught developer from India, specializing in the MERN stack, and I'm looking for guidance on finding legitimate internships or junior roles that will actually get back to me. I've been working on projects and honing my skills in React, Node, MongoDB, and Tailwind, and I recently built a small web app with AI integration.

After a disappointing experience with a paid internship platform, I want to make sure I'm applying through reputable channels.

If anyone has suggestions on where to apply, platforms or communities that have worked for them, or how they landed their first job, I'd really appreciate the advice.

So I joined a Google meet hosted by someone named Varun .. and I end up paying 1500 rs for internship 🤧i thought it's legit but I googled later and realised that it's most likely a scam.. i feel like crying now 🙂.... they said they'll give stipend 15000rs once I start my internship that is from 20th may... 😭 idk what I'm supposed to do . I feel so dumb now..

Guys please help . I need to urgently start working as I am not financially strong right now... It's starting to get depressing.

Edited - Broo i even know someone who's a lawyer in civil cases 😭 and if had money, i could file a lawsuit.. it's not even about 1500rs there were other students who paid for this too ..
