Should I cut the tops off?
I bought this plant at Costco and it was doing fine for a few months then suddenly all the bottom leaves started drying up and then fell off. I saw some posts here of what appeared to be dead sticks growing sprouts and I was wondering if topping it is the correct move here. I'm assuming it will not grow anymore leaves on this stalk and it didn't have any other branches.
Oh and the leaves were drying up when it was in a sunny spot so I moved it to filtered light and it has been hanging on with just those top leaves. It looks like it is raised up because I put LECA balls in the bottom so it wouldn't be sitting in water.
