Update: Got my results, need advice on EOR
Hi guys, I had posted here last month, as I was extremely disappointed with my result (L9, R9, W6.5, S7.5) and wanted to apply for an EOR, especially due to my writing score. After reading a few comments, I decided to go ahead even though the EOR fee was a big amount for me.
Despite the risk of losing this fees, I went ahead only because I couldn’t accept my writing score. Maybe it was my ego, I can’t be sure, but I know that I cried twice on the result day, and once more the day after. (Not my proudest moment)
Well, now the EOR results are back, and lo and behold, my writing score is the same. (Yes, my speaking grade increased by .5 but thats not the point) I guess I overestimated my performance, but for everyone who has seen all the successful EOR results, please know that they are the minority, and it’s very easy to overestimate your performance and be delusional.
However, if you can afford the EOR cost, then and only then You should go ahead with the EOR, I say this because I know that I wouldn’t be at peace if I had not gone through this process. I could have saved the money, but I would have lived under the illusion that my writing is better than it actually is.
And Yes, this might be an extremely stupid take on EOR, but it was worth it for me.
