Recently, a post popped up on Instagram about how every woman deals with assault, harassment, or abuse, and how victims are forced to protect abusers while predators face zero consequences—and Jade didn't just like it, she reposted it to her own profile.
When you put all the pieces together, it really paints a heavy picture. She has openly admitted in the past to dealing with toxic situations with certain producers, feeling too terrified to speak out at the peak of her career because she feared no one would believe her, and noting how easily sexual harassment happens even at the highest levels. Because of those bad experiences, she even reached a point where she refuses to have sessions alone with men that she has not met before.
On top of that, let's not forget when the Little Mix girls originally exposed that they were pressured to flirt with executives for US radio support—even if they claimed they turned it down publicly, behind-closed-doors industry pressure is usually much darker.
Now look at her solo era. In tracks like "It Girl," she isn't holding back, completely reclaiming her autonomy and drawing a hard line with fierce lines like "Remove your filthy paws."
Even in past interviews, she’s sort of left it hanging that she doesn't really know when or if she'll ever fully talk about everything, but it feels like she’s slowly letting it slip or even processing it through her music.
