Bermuda for handicapped...

We will taking a cruise and will be in Bermuda for 3 days in a little over a week.
My husband is recently handicapped... an illness caused complete hearing loss in one ear, and extremely limited in the other one, and it has left him with very bad balance. He uses a cane to help for short distances and for longer distances he has a scooter.
We are taking his smaller, more portable electric scooter for the cruise.
One of the days will be renting an electric car (I always drive since he can no longer drive) and exploring the Island with it. We pick up the car near the ship so that shouldn't be a problem. But I was wondering if there is enough space in the electric car to fit the scooter. I know the cars are tiny, but it does state it can fit "luggage". The scooter is fairly small and fits in the truck of both our cars, one being a smaller Honda Insight sportyish car. Has anyone had any experience with this? (for reference the scooter is a Pride Gogo Traveller)
Also, if we are lucky enough to be able to fit the scooter, will there be 120v availabilty to charge it? We will have an adapter with us. Chances are the scooter's battery would last long enough anyway.
If we can't fit the scooter and he needs to navigate out of the car with only his cane, does anyone have any suggestions of places to go that doesn't have a lot of walking?
There will be times he will spend with other members of the group that are also not so mobile and I will be with some others who are doing an activity or tour they can't do. I just don't want to abandon him the whole time. We used to love doing the catamaran tours... but he's afraid of his balance on those boats now :(
Our first cruise since his issues... just trying to make sure he still has a great time.
TIA for any suggestions.
