What can you say about this situation?

I just wanted to share and ask something about VA Agencies. My friend (Sophie) is currently working as an AIRBNB VA. Asawa ng close relative niya is employee (Senior Project Manager) ng isang VA agency, kung saan siya nakakuha client. This is a referral.
My friend's salary is 15k per month, she is also travelling every day (spending not less than 50 per day) to her relative's (let's call her Rika) house for guidance since bago palang. During the interview, the client offered $3/hr as a starting salary. This Rika told her that after a month she will receive 20k instead of 15k, also she work na sa bahay nila. After a month my friend asked if it is possible for her na hindi na don mag stay and to have a raise (politely niya inask, mas matanda si Rika). So, Rika told her na naiintindihan niya raw, pero hindi pa nga siya gamay sa work niya at marami pang tanong. Pero dito nagulat yung friend ko, nagchat sa kanya yung asawa ni Rika (which is yung relative niya talaga).
He said a lot of things like
"If you are not satisfied with your work or salary, it's better na mag resign ka nalang. Hindi pwede malaman ng manangement na pinapasok ka ni Rika ket wala ka namang experience. Tsaka siya naghelp sayo lalo na sa intervierws mo. Mateterminate si Rika pag nalaman na kinacut sweldo mo. Hindi pwedeng kami yung mawalan ng trabaho... Ikaw pinapasok namin kasi malaki yung tiwala namin sayo, so wag mo kami ilagay sa alanganin. Pasensya pero ayaw namin mag risk. Gusto lang naman namin tumulong."
Is it even okay na mag cut yung employee ng isang agency sa sweldo, kasi close relative niya yung tao? Also nag ask lang naman yung friend ko bakit ganon na chat nila.
And regarding daw sa interview, my friend didn't even lie sa mga experiences niya.
