Sonos grouping

Hello, we’re looking for a product (device, server, touchscreen, or iOS app) to fully control a Sonos multi-zone system.

We need to:

Group/ungroup zones

Control individual zone volume within groups plus a master volume

Keep synced playback across zones (Spotify, Tidal, etc.)

Manage music source and playback from a single interface

Ideally, it also serves as a central home control system (lighting, shades, HVAC, etc.) via wall panel or iOS app.

We’re specifically looking for full Sonos grouping and volume control, not just basic playback.

Scene Timeout - Pure KNX Solution

Hello to all integrators!

Is there a pure KNX solution for a scene timeout without a server?

I'm trying to solve a design problem in a KNX installation without using a central server (LogicMachine, Home Assistant, Node-RED, etc.). I'm looking for a pure KNX approach using ETS, device logic, or standard KNX components.

Here's the scenario:

- A bathroom has a KNX presence detector controlling the lighting automatically.

- Normally, the detector turns the light ON when someone enters and OFF after the vacancy timeout.

- I also have a keypad with manual scenes (for example, "Cleaning" or "100% Light").

When a manual scene is activated:

- The light turns on to the desired level.

- The presence detector is blocked so it doesn't interfere with the scene.

The problem is that if the user forgets to press the OFF button when leaving the bathroom, the detector remains blocked forever and the light can stay ON all day.

What I would like is something like this:

  1. Activate the scene.

  2. Block the detector.

  3. Automatically unblock the detector after a configurable timeout (e.g. 30 or 60 minutes).

or

Another approach where:

- The detector cannot turn the light ON while a manual scene is active.

- But it is still allowed to turn the light OFF after the vacancy timeout, so the room always returns to automatic mode.

My question:

- Is there a pure KNX way to implement either of these solutions without a server?

I'm interested in best practices used by professional KNX integrators, thanks for any advice!
