Aug. 5 Debond

Super excited. I feel my teeth are exactly where I want them. No, they aren’t perfect but I chose function over aesthetics. To get perfect I would have had to do bonding. At my age, it just wasn’t important enough to me.

I did widening at first to create a whole bunch of awkward spacing on top. Even had 6 months with a gap between my front teeth. I also had a huge amount of IPR on my bottom 6 teeth to bring them back enough to have a normal overjet. It has been quite the ride.

I have lowered my risk of losing my teeth, they are wicked easy to brush and floss and I will whiten (crest white strips) about 3 months post debond.

For 6 months I will be doing 24/7 retainers (clear aligner style during day and hawley style at night) and then night time for a life time.

New Diagnosis. How did this sneak up on me?

So the last couple of days have been eventful.

2020 Diagnosed with Hiatal Hernia causing GERD.

I have been having epigastric discomfort for a couple months book a HIDA, U/S and Esophogram.

Results are in… No hiatal Hernia, no GERD, super healthy stomach and lining. U/S everything looks spectacular like it should be a specimen on a wall. (Lol) BUT I only have a 6% EF on the HIDA. WTH?

How did I only JUST start having symptoms?

Davinci lap with ovaries (bisalp was years ago) removed Mar 25. I had a completely uneventful recovery. No pain, no bleeding, minimal cramping when I did too much. I am so ready to get moving again. I may have bought myself a new elliptical and weight set. Hahahaha

Let’s Celebrate!!! I am officially cleared to ease back into everything. No more appointments for internals unless something comes up. Yearly mammogram/breast exam and HRT script and evaluation is all there is left now.

I am doing FemRing for HRT and so far I am loving it. I am going to do a DEXA and a CAC as a baseline so if something comes up we have somewhere to start investigating.

Good luck out there!!
