Teaser: Mapu Squad revival
It’s been months since I first teased that I was going to make my Mapu Squad but now after receiving more experience and knowledge, it’s finally time to assemble the squad.

I got bored as hell and wanted to do this match up since Hank 2.0 is the start of why spinosaurus hybrids began to get hanked. (For this match since Hank 2.0’s metrics aren’t officially known and to make it fair, he’ll be the exact same weight as Porco.)
Genome is practically complete, just needs fine tuning and this bad boy here is the MVP
Let’s put the “ultimate” theropod to the test after those confident comments saying it beats Shredder.
Also guys there’s a reason why I added the “Excellus” in the naming to differentiate this Maelstrom from Spinoclanker’s
Again, special thanks to u/Atrosaurus for the help on Maelstrom
Genome so far is looking solid just needs refinement, also special thanks to u/Atrosaurus for the tips as the mosasaur specialist
Honestly I wanted to get this over with and he decided to opt for Goliath 3.0.
For this match up, Goliath will use the Ceratopsian match up metrics.
I made a joke about how many bad spinosaurus hybrids get hanked and how it is a curse. Turns out it isn’t far off from reality because we’ve had many spinosaurus hybrids that gets hanked the absolute hardest lately.
This also includes Hank who made the term and Hank 2.0 who started the sailfish trend that doesn’t work at all and had everybody to follow.
So for the next hybrid project I’m doing will essentially correct this plague and showcase how it’s really done with Porco 3.0
Seregios or Serradactylus - google docs.
The next project hybrids I'm gonna be doing is creating a Spinosaurid hybrid that will save the community from the curse of Spinosaurus hybrids that have plagued us from them being hanked the absolute hardest.
Then a slicing Maelstrom awaits in the open seas.
And is also the hybrid that popularized the tiger shark
This is probably already known but in case for those that don't, here's a breakdown.
Macho Brace doubles EV points gained in battle while halving your speed, and you find it in HGSS in Goldenrod City by trading the NPC a Drowsee with a Machop holding it.
You may recall the HGSS level up grinding guide so this item helps speed up EV training but there are some extra trainers you should look out for to further speed up the process not mentioned in the guide.
Youngster Joey: Gives HP Up every rematch
Sailor Huey: Gives Protein every rematch
Hiker Parry: Gives Iron every rematch
Bird Keeper Vance: Gives Carbos every rematch
Picnicker Erin: Gives Calcium every rematch.
Youngster Ian: Gives berries every rematch
This is really the first time I've managed clear Palmer in the 49th battle, but that's also due to me knowing about competitive pokemon.
The team consisted of the following:
Garchomp: Jolly nature Focus Sash
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Outrage
Swords Dance
Fire Fang
Earthquake
Salamence: Adamant nature Lum Berry
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Outrage
Dragon Dance
Fire Blast
Earthquake
Lucario: Adamant nature Life Orb
4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
Extreme Speed
Close Combat
Swords Dance
Crunch
This trio focuses purely on sweeping through raw power alone. Garchomp being the main lead that can 1-2 hit KO most pokemons, with Lucario acting as an answer to ice-types and clean up duty with Extreme Speed while Salamence acts as a back-up sweeper. If given any chances to boost, they all can sweep on their own and Salamence post-dragon dance becomes the fastest mon on the field without a rare choice scarf user or priority.
This can 100% translate to the other 3 modes with how consistent they can brute force through everything. Feel free to copy.
