Germinating 2.5 year old seeds

Hi! So, they finally made growing for your own consumption legal in my country, so I wanted to give it a try.

My question is: are 2.5 year old seeds still viable to grow? I won a bunch of auto seeds at a cannabis expo 2.5 years ago, but since it was still illegal to actually grow them at the time (I have an open garden and unfriendly neighbors), I just kept them in a cupboard (dark place, room temperature, in the plastic vials and plastic bags I got them in). The seeds are BCN Critical XXL Auto from Seedstockers and Auto California Kush from 00 Seeds.

I put them in Jiffy pucks yesterday morning, since my friend gave them to me saying he had success using them to germinate and sprout. But I'm thinking about just buying fresh seeds.

I'm going in with zero expectations and minimal investment, it's mostly a gardening project of mine :D. I just bought some 20L textile pots and some substrate. I'm using pots with substrate mostly because we don't have very good soil in our garden.

I'm planning to grow them for 3 weeks inside and plant them outside at the start of June, since I'm in a bit of a colder region and it's still 15°C outside. With the autos, I'm hoping to take advantage of the warmest and sunniest months of the year.
