I think I'm done

Time for a serious post this time, the whole subreddit segregation thing doesn't sit right with me, especially not after what happened with my experience as The Spider-Noir. I really did love playing as Parker and Moonbeam, but ultimately my style of character RP doesn't mesh well with this server's new vision. I apologize to all those with whom I've RP'd with in the past, like Aria, Grey, and Colin, but when I have to look over my metaphoric shoulder everytime I post as a non-comic inspired character, then I might as well drop them, right?

I've already left the discord server. Don't come after me, please.

Have fun, ya'll. Genuinely. Hope your change works out for the better.

Sorry To Say, But I'm On The Queen's Side

#$@%, my head... Okay, look, I know this might hurt a lot of people. ...Well, one person in particular... But I need to plant my stake in the ground and not just stand around like a corpse and make glib one-liners.

Look, I really didn't want to have to pick a side. I, for some stupid reason, thought that this would just blow over in a couple days.

But it's been a lot longer than just a couple days.

Good or bad, people are going to die for this if your side wins, Scott.

And surprise surprise, the girl who can talk to the dead doesn't want to know what will happen when a bunch of angry mutants "take action".

The dead will have their dues, and what do you think that will look like when they all want mutants dead?

We all have our obligations, I know. But mine are to the dead.

Please don't force me to come and collect.

Sleeping Like The Dead(?)

Moonbeam couldn't sleep.

It hadn't been the first time this happened, of course. Visceral flashbacks to how she died tended to be a normal occurrence for the woman who died hundreds of times over, though that didn't make it any easier, even as time went on.

And tonight was the worst of them all. Memories of that first night filled her mind, of that night she spent with her fellow cast member. She didn't even remember his name anymore, just the easy-going smile he had, the words he spoke to charm her into his hotel room, and the sudden sharp pain of his knife entering her abdomen.

That was the day she discovered she was a mutant. The day her life changed forever.

Moonbeam rubbed her eyes and got out of bed, putting a hand to her stomach and taking a breath. She could still feel it, sometimes. Though all other scars faded with time, that stab wound remained with her, even after she buried the bastard alive.

Her head was hurting again. Maybe she needed some fresh air or something.

PSA for those not in the Discord

I am going to be upping the cynicism and sarcatic nature of Deadgirl, so if you notice I'm being a bit meaner that usual, I apologize and I hope you know that I do not mean any of it

Even The Dead Need Rest

Moonbeam laid in the fields of Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, taking in the warmth of the sun's rays as she rested her eyes.

While it was true that so much was happening in the world right now, none of that concerned her. As far as she cared, she was here for a vacation, regardless of whether or not she felt compelled to do her job as a therapist for some damn reason.

But, luckily for her, nobody had answered her earlier offers, and that party she stumbled across went to had drained her social battery and only added to her body's effort to make her day as painful as possible. Maybe she was just getting old (although nobody'd be able to tell, she still looked like she was in her mid-20s), but the flashing lights and the loud sounds, as well the the general sense of impending death had given her a splitting headache that had seemed to become a regular sensation nowadays.

She sighed as she laid in the grass, hoping a little shut-eye and relaxation would help ease her pains.

She also hoped, in the back of her mind, that nobody saw her resting and genuinely thought she was a corpse. She really didn't want to have to deal with that right now.

Speaking With The Dead

Deadgirl sat in the lounge of the mansion, writing things down in a notebook. This place smelled of death, regret, and bad body odor (mainly the latter, unfortunately for her sensitive nose), and the first two were giving her a headache. People had things they needed to get off their chest, or wanted to, at least, but couldn't anymore.

This. Sucked.

And as much as she didn't want to do her job anymore, she wasn't getting anything done just sitting around with a headache all day.

So she wrote a note, made a few copies, and put them around the campus.

"Therapy/Necromancy in the lounge. Look for the zombie."

(OOC: If you'd like for Moonbeam to work some necromancy on an NPC, please DM me so we can discuss details. If you are necromancing a PC, please ping them in your reply. Thank you!)

Some sabbatical this'll be

Dead Girl. I died and then made myself not so dead. But with that out of the way, can someone explain what's going on?

I swear, I take a break from one drama-filled school to come to another.

I need a vacation.
