I found the demo for Mayor May Knott just before release and ended up picking up the full game on day one. I got completely hooked and finished it in couldn't put it down once I started, and I still find myself replaying it after finishing because I enjoyed it that much. Because of that, I wanted to gift a copy to someone here who might end up loving it too.
It’s a cozy puzzle game with a creepy-cute aesthetic where you become the mayor of a literal ghost town. You restore abandoned homes, help new residents settle in, and meet a cast of strange and charming neighbors like zombies, animal people, and even living objects.
One of the main mechanics is the confidence system, where your character gradually becomes braver over time, unlocking new areas of the town and new interactions with its residents. It adds a really nice sense of progression and discovery. The game is also full of humor and puns, and it honestly made me laugh a lot while playing.
Since there’s a free demo available, I’d really like this giveaway to go to someone who tries it and genuinely connects with it and wants to keep going.
The game is also actively being updated, so if anything in the demo feels rough or stands out, there’s a chance it has already been improved in the main game or will be improved in the future.
