Champion BM Down (: (Also my Maplestory Progression Story)
tldr: I'm a solo player, finally cleared champion mode BM at 236m CP, 60k hexa, 6k frags invested (not including janus), 9.6k legion after mainswapping to F/P starting on CW1. The rest is a lot of yapping about when I hit milestones or cleared bosses for the first time.
I started playing again in 2022 for the Cygnus Knight rework, and realized my highest level character was an Aran at level 74 from the ancient times before burning. Since Cygnus Knights were new and fancy I burned a TB to 245ish and got a BW to 210, was clearing N Lomien on the TB and CRA on the BW but got bored and quit for a while.
Near the end of 2024 I came back again around Shade/Aran rework. The first iteration of item burning on Shade got me strong enough to clear N Slime and E Lucid for the first time, and then also hit 260 and check out sixth job, which kick-started the crazy power scaling fantasy. I ended up using a second hyperburn to finish getting my TB to 260 bc I wanted to main it and it felt bad having it lower level than my Shade.
After hitting 260 on the TB I started only doing dailies on her, and spam created boss mules. Every burn was another at 260 and in between burns I would level them manually to 220. By mid 2025 I was like 270, 30m CP, cleared HLomien for the first time, and was making 15-20bil a week by grinding a bit and running up to N Slime on 3 mules and up to CPap/Akechi on another 6 lmao.
TB Progression:
By the end of May 2025 I hit 275, 52m CP, 8.5k legion, and killed H Lucid for the first time at like 210% in scouter. A week later I also killed H Will. When CW1 got announced I figured I'd try out F/P and grind tf out of it if I liked the class enough, which ended up starting the mainswap process, so I slowed my progress on this char and just did dailies through most of CW1. Killed C Slime in June at around 56m CP, C Gloom and H Dknell in July at around 68m CP, H VHilla in September at around 80m CP.
CW1 F/P Progression
Started June 11th 2025, ran for 15 weeks til Sept 23rd 2025.
Week 6, July 16th: 20m CP, cleared H Lotus at level 270
Week 8, July 30th: 22m CP, cleared H Damien, N LuWill, N Gloom/Dknell at level 273
Week 10, August 13th: 47m CP, cleared C Gloom at level 276
Week 11, August 20th: 41.5m CP (event buffs ended and new event wasn't available in CW ): ), cleared N VHilla at level 278
Week 13, September 3rd: Hit 280, unlocking challenger without any other boss kills, then transferred off CW in early Sept. Started clearing full CTene in October at 60m-ish CP
Was pretty lax on pushing bosses from here on, got TB to 151m CP and F/P to 101m CP with the November cube sale, and started clearing N Seren on both. Started playing Ren in CW2 but quickly realized I only wanted it to be a mule (still made it to lvl 280 and diamond rank for some reason). In feb of this year I got my F/P from 147m CP to 193m on a 30% boom reduction event, then up to 223m on march SSF. Then on April SSF I got to 230m CP. I've tried E Kalos off and on but haven't gotten the hang of handling systems without getting 1 hit from an off screen dive or laser.
For BM I waited until I could burst out of P1 (which takes a lot on F/P lol). After ori bind, regular bind, and 10s gene iframe p1 was at like 5% and I just dot punishered and ran away. I got through p2 only losing 1 life, played safe in p3, had 3 curse deaths but made it to p4 with 8 lives. It was only my 2nd time seeing p4 so it was a little rough, lost 3 lives to curse deaths and another to a damage death so I'm very glad my p2 and p3 went well. Anyway, i finally killed BM, the scary "end-game" boss of my childhood after playing a lot for the last 18ish months. Might start doing H Seren before E Kalos bc systems are scary.
For my gear, WSE are screenshotted in the post, overall 5 lines of matk, 3 bd, 1 dmg. 4 set pitch includes book, 22 star zerk/eyepatch, 21 star ET. Level 2 cont, all other accessories are 22 star. 21 Star CRA, for Arcanes two are 22, one is 21, the last one is 18. For pots, gloves are 2L crit, hat is -3 sec, most everything else is fake 3L except for my daybreak which is double prime and Sup G Ring, ET, and fairy heart that are real 3L.
